CLOSER is a new recurring series that will explore selected artworks in current exhibitions at the UNM Art Museum.

In our first episode Curator of Collections & Study Room Initiatives, Angel Jiang, guides us through “Para Don Pedro” by Juan Sánchez. “Para Don Pedro” is a six color lithograph that was made at the Tamarind Institute @tamarindinstitute in 1992.

You can view this piece, and more, in Tradition and Transformation: Colonial New Spain and Contemporary Hispanic America at the UNM Art Museum. The exhibition will be open until September 30, 2023.
