Tamarind Goes Global (1985-2020) highlights how Tamarind Institute expanded collaborative printmaking beyond national borders, transforming the workshop into a site of international artistic exchange.
Beginning in the 1980s, Tamarind embraced a philosophy of cultural diplomacy, recognizing printmaking as a powerful tool for encouraging dialogue, solidarity and creative exchange across diverse communities. Through collaborations with artists from Eastern Europe, Africa, the Americas and Australia, Tamarind developed international projects that brought together artists whose lives and work were shaped by distinct cultural, historical and political contexts.
Tamarind Goes Global features a series of these collaborative projects, including Mexico Nueve (1984), Trickster (1999), Exquisite Corpse (2000-2015), Connections (2002-2004) and Landmarks (2015).
Abundance: New Acquisitions from 2016 to 2026 celebrates a decade of generosity and vision at the University of New Mexico Art Museum (UNMAM). Featuring works acquired through gifts and purchases during the last 10 years, the exhibition offers viewers the opportunity to experience the evolving story of the UNMAM collection, and includes prints, photographs, paintings and sculpture created from 1810 to 2024 by 44 artists.
Showcasing treasured objects donated by individuals along with significant works contributed by artists and collectors, Abundance reveals the thoughtful process behind building a museum collection. Each artwork was carefully considered for its exceptional quality and content, along with its relevance to current and future audiences. In the past decade, UNMAM has focused on acquiring artworks created by women, LGBTQ+ artists and artists of color, particularly Hispanic and Native American artists, and Abundance reflects that focus.

Featuring highlights from UNMAM's permanent collection, High Five Hall of Fame centers on narratives of connection. By extending an invitation to artists, alumni, and arts professionals to share earnest, personal stories of inspiration, this exhibition considers the academic impact of the collection across multiple spheres of influence—stories that might inspire the gesture of a congratulatory, communal “high five.”

Push & Pull: The Prints of Helen Frankenthaler and Her Contemporaries celebrates abstraction in all print processes with a focus on the works of Helen Frankenthaler and Elaine de Kooning. Displayed alongside their contemporaries, this exhibition demonstrates important collaborations with American publishers.

Graphic Art and Revolution: Latin American Political Posters 1968–2000 brings together Latin American political posters from two major repositories at the university: the University of New Mexico Art Museum and the Sam L. Slick Collection of Latin American and Iberian Posters at the Center for Southwest Research.

As a section of Hindsight Insight 5.0, Notes on Care features photographs by artist Rachel Cox from the series Portrait of a Woman. This highly personal body of work chronicles the artist's experience accessing fertility treatment to start a family.
