Current Exhibition: This Fall, we invite you to view “Visionary Modern: Raymond Jonson Trilogies, Cycles, and Portraits,” an exhibition surveying the long career of Raymond Jonson (1891-1982), one of New Mexico’s leading abstract painters of the twentieth century and a former educator at the University of New Mexico. The UNM Art Museum seeks to increase diversity in the permanent collection. Funds generated will be used to acquire works of art by and about women, LGBTQ artists, and artists of color, particularly Native American and Latinx artists. The UNM Art Museum welcomes first-time donors and long-term supporters and hopes to grow the collection in ways meaningful and relevant to its audience.
