Emergent 2019: New Student Videos from UNM is the UNMAM’s first exhibition of experimental student videos, and features work by eleven students representing UNM programs in Art and Ecology, Experimental Art and Technology, Photography, and Sculpture. The videos featured in Emergent 2019 explore a wide range of concepts, from species hybridity to auditory-visual synesthesia, and display a notable diversity of methods and approaches. As a pop-up showcase, Emergent 2019 highlights exceptional video projects from the past academic year and provides a glimpse into the experimental creativity at play across artistic disciplines at the University of New Mexico.

Featuring work by: Chelsea Alvarez, Viola Arduini, hazel batrezchavez, Ragini Bhow, Erin Gould and Jessica Zeglin, nicholas b. jacobsen, Dylan McLaughlin, Zac Travis, Amy Traylor, and Martin Wannam.
