Announcing new Curator of Education and Public Programs

The UNM Art Museum is happy to announce that Traci Quinn is the new Curator of Education and Public Programs!  Traci is a doctoral candidate at the University of Arizona earning her degree in Art History and Education, with a focus in museum education. She is a published author and has presented widely at national and international conferences. Her current research explores trends in museum practice that emphasize and allow for greater collaboration among departments / with communities as a way to ensure holistic and effective learning opportunities in gallery spaces. Having worked in museums for over 7 years, Traci has experience with adult and family programming, K-12 education, docent training, grant writing, community outreach, and project development. She also has 5 years of experience teaching art and visual culture education, photography, and contemporary art survey courses in higher education. As a passionate art educator Traci is committed to creating museum-based education that is comprehensive, culturally rich, and dynamic for every museum visitor.  The UNM Art Museum is excited to have Traci onboard!
