Please join us for a lively public conversation among five artists, students, teachers, and scholars (Bill Gilbert, Erika Osborne, Kaitlin Bryson, David Naranjo and Brionna Garcia) as we explore art + ecopedagogy as experimental forms for teaching, learning, and practicing resilience in the face of ecological crisis. Learn about ecopedagogy, the innovative scholarship and practice of these panelists, and critical perspectives engaging art in the Anthropocene. The panel discussion will focus on a moderated conversation and audience Q+A.

We will conclude the night with a reception, book sale, and signing of UNM Emeritus Distinguished Professor, Bill Gilbert’s recently published book, Arts Programming for the Anthropocene. This book investigates the origin and evolution of five academic field programs on three continents, (including UNM’s Land Arts of the American West) mapping developments in field pedagogy in the arts over the past twenty years. https://www.routledge.com/Arts-Programming-for-the-Anthropocene-Art-in-Community-and-Environment/Gilbert-Cox-Osborne/p/book/9781138385269
