Emergent 2019: New Student Videos from UNM is the UNMAM’s first exhibition of experimental student videos, and features work by eleven students representing UNM programs in Art and Ecology, Experimental Art and Technology, Photography, and Sculpture.

The UNMAM will be showing a rotation of three of Bruce Conner’s films from the 1960’s, which contextualize and expand on themes present in other works by him from the museum’s permanent collection that are currently on view in the exhibition HINDSIGHT/INSIGHT: Reflecting on the Collection.

Enlarging and amplifying the vision of HINDSIGHT/INSIGHT: Reflecting on the Collection, The Expanded Photograph highlights rarely-exhibited objects from the UNMAM’s extensive photographic holdings.

Deep Time Lab is an experiment in how we situate ourselves within time. Throughout the Spring 2019 semester, this project will orient participants to earth’s new geologic epoch, the Anthropocene.
